A diverse performer, Judy’s talents have taken her from stage to screen, from drama to comedy to musical theatre to the recording studio. She has worked in front of the camera as well as behind the scenes as a writer and director. As a singer, she has delighted audiences from North America to Europe, Iceland to Malaysia.

Born in Los Angeles, California, Judy began acting on stage and television from the age of 6. After early work on such TV shows as OZZIE & HARRIET, THE TAMMY GRIMES SHOW and FELONY SQUAD, in 1971, she landed the role of Mary Ellen in the TV movie THE HOMECOMING. This highly successful Christmas special served as the pilot for THE WALTONS TV series and launched Judy to international fame for her role as Mary Ellen. The Waltons, ran for 9 years, garnering numerous Emmy, Golden Globe and People’s Choice awards.

What if you were told; “You only had one month to live.”  What would you do?

On July 1st, 2014, I began reading a book entitled ‘One Month to Live.’ The concept being you have just received news you have one month to live. How would that be received?  Who would you go see? What would you tell them? To put it mildly, this book made me think. And that is my goal for this show: to encourage thought! I don’t claim to have all the answers, but I do know a lot of the questions. One of my favorite quotes is from Henry Ford: “Thinking is the hardest work there is, which is why so few engage in it.”

I chose to name the show “Radio That You Can’t Make Up” because I want to focus on things in life that you cannot make up. Whether it is a current event, a humorous anecdote, or miraculous story; I simply want to inspire thought. Not to think as I do, but to think for yourself.
