Sloan Robinson, Dancer,Choreographer, Instructor with The City Ballet of Los Angeles joins Mother Love in studio to invite all in the LA area to a theater presentation of "The Nutcracker Swings" as well as her deep passion for children and The Arts. She surprises Mother Love with NAACP award winning actor Darryl Reed joining her in studio.

 About Sloan

Sloan Robinson is an award winning actor, dancer, choreographer and playwright.  Receiving the 2001 & 2004 NAACP Theatre Awards for Best Female Performer she is also a dance and drama instructor.  She currently instructs Modern Dance and Musical Theatre at City Ballet of Los Angeles and a Chair Dance Workout Class for Seniors at Belmont Village in Hollywood. Sloan also appeared in movies such as:  A Christmas Wedding (2013), Fine Things (1990) and Nancy Drew (2002). Sloan has also been seen in TV shows like The Mentalist, 2 Broke Girls, Shameless, Body of Proof, among many more.

About The Nutcracker Swings

The Nutcracker Swings is CBLA’s tribute to the classic tale of the Nutcracker. Set in 1942 during WWII in Hancock Park and the iconic Cocoanut Grove nightclub, the audience will be swept away to another world while dancers swing to the sounds of Tchaikovsky and Duke Ellington. In this version of the classic family ballet, Maria, the heroine falls for the leading man, Jim, a WWII hero who gives Maria the Nutcracker doll which kicks off a whirlwind journey of Christmas Wonder.
