About Penny
Many people are born humanitarian and to make a difference in the world and Penny Leon is one of them.
Born and raised in Uganda her parents were able to feed them but she saw many kids with no food to eat and clothes to wear.
Inspired by her mother Florence, who raised 20 kids six of her own and fourteen from the neighborhood and family friends. She said to her mother at 9yrs that when she grows up, she will not have children of her own. Instead she will take care of those orphans that need help. After she finished school, she moved to United States. She opened a foundation in 2012 that works with Children Sure House Schools in Uganda of 1500 kids founded by Martin Mpanga providing kids with free education, food and medical care services. She has raised and become a parent to five orphaned girls, which three of them have now finished University.
Penny is a member of Woodland Hills Rotary Club, CA. She joined the Club because she believed in what they stand for, Service Above Self, and what they do in our communities and around the world.
Penny has surrendered her life for others as great calling from our God. She has the qualities of love and Mercy as a gift from God. She has a gift of sensing hurting people and then responding to them in unique way to bring compassionate love. She invites you to join her in this journey of faith and courage.
She has become a voice to the voiceless, and strength to the weak.Praise God that he crowns us with his love and favor!
